MMMM Beer.....

The rise of regional breweries has been a great trend over the last decade or so. The Baltimore area has its share of excellent micobrews. The people at Scoutology.com recently recommended six local brews.
Baltimore has a long and proud brewing history, and it is great to see a resurgence. Local beers are tasty, support the local economy, and stick it to the corporate man all at the same time. The Boh man is a local icon that is all Baltimore. Unfortunately, it is now brewed out of state somewhere and was never that good a a beer anyway. Back in the day we bought National Bohemian when were too broke for National Premium. So wear your Boh gear proud as you enjoy some Heavy Seas or Union Craft suds.
Another aspect of Baltimore's sudsy past is the old breweries being reused. In the Canton area Old Mr. Boh's brewery is an office complex and right next store the Gunther  Brewery has been lovingly restored into luxury apartments. This side of town is booming with lots of rehabs, new construction, and the Canton Crossing retail center.
